Abstract
We investigate the spectral properties of the arithmetic operator on the idele class space in the context of the Hilbert-Pólya program.
1. Introduction
[cite_start]The spectral interpretation of the Riemann Hypothesis suggests that the non-trivial zeros of the Riemann zeta function correspond to the spectrum of a self-adjoint operator[cite: 435]. [cite_start]We propose as the unique stable manifold compatible with the global Haar measure[cite: 435].
2. The Spectral Framework
[cite_start]The global arithmetic operator is a composite of local operators acting on the completions [cite: 437]: [cite_start] [cite: 439]
[cite_start]The archimedean component provides the continuous infinitesimal scaling necessary to bridge discrete local measures[cite: 438].
3. The Rigidity Lemma
[cite_start]Lemma 3.1 (Global Spectral Rigidity): The spectral weight is compatible with the trace-class property of if and only if [cite: 442].
[cite_start]Any zero quartet with for induces a resonance that violates the Bessel Inequality[cite: 443, 444]: [cite_start] [cite: 445]
4. Structural Rupture
[cite_start]Theorem 4.1 (Functional Analytic Impossibility of ): The existence of any non-trivial zero with constitutes a structural rupture in the global geometry of the adele class space.
